Palazzo Cellamare: The foundation of the building dates back to the beginning of the decade of the sixteenth century by the will of the abbot of Sant'Angelo di Atella Giovanni Francesco Carafa. Succeeded by his nephew Luigi Carafa in 1531, he commissioned to Ferdinando Manlio to completely renovate the building according to the most typical tastes of sixteenth. The Castel dell'Ovo (castrum Ovi, in Latin), is the oldest castle in the city of Naples and is one of the elements that stands out most in the famous view of
the gulf. It is located between the districts of St. Ferdinand and Chiaia, opposite the area of Mergellina. Because of different events which partially destroyed the original Norman look and through further reconstruction works
that took place during the Angevin and Aragonese period, the architectural line of the castle changed dramatically until reaching the stage where it is today.
Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino): is an historic medieval and Renaissance castle. It is considered a symbol of the city of Naples. The castle dominates the spectacular Piazza Municipio and it hosts the Neapolitan Society of native history and the Committee of Naples Institute for the History of the Italian Risorgimento.
Gesù Nuovo: or the Trinità Maggiore, is a monumental church of Naples, located in Piazza del Gesù Nuovo in front of the obelisk of the Immaculate and the Basilica of Santa Chiara. It is one of the most important churches in the city, among the highest concentrations of Baroque painting and sculpture, in which have worked some of the most influential artists of the Neapolitan school. Inside it houses the body of St. Joseph Moscati, who was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 1987.
San Gregorio Armeno: or San Biagio Maggiore, with its convent, is located in the street of the historic center of Naples. It is famous for the characteristic shops of shepherds and sacred crafts. It is also popularly known as the church of Santa Patrizia.
